Terms and Conditions for Accommodation
DEPOSIT
To confirm the booking, a deposit, being 50% of the total tariff, should be payable within 5 days of holding the initial booking. If the booking is made 28 days or less before commencement of the holiday, the full tariff is required to effect confirmation.
FINAL PAYMENT
Full and final payment for the holiday booking is required at least 14 days prior to the commencement of the holiday. A bond payment is also required at this time, see details below. If the outstanding balance has not been received by the due date, the Owner and/or the Booking Agent reserve the right to cancel the booking without notice and the guest will forfeit the deposit.
CANCELLATIONS & AMENDMENTS
Should you cancel your booking within 14 days prior to arrival the full amount of accommodation will be forfeited. Cancellations and amendments are required in writing, preferably via email.
SIZE OF PARTY / MAXIMUM NUMBER OF GUESTS
The maximum number of guests must not exceed the number of people stipulated on the booking request. Different conditions apply to wedding bookings.
If the house is being used for accommodation, under no circumstances are parties, functions or social gatherings permitted in the house.
The number of guests occupying the property for the holiday must not exceed the number specified on the Booking Form. If for any reason there is a change to the number of guests occupying the property, the owner or Booking Agent must be informed immediately. If approval is given for a change in the number of guests, an additional charge will be payable for each extra guest. In the event that this clause is breached, the owners reserves the right to evict all tenants immediately and payment will be forfeited.
BOND/SECURITY & THE GUESTS RESPONSIBILITY
Accommodation bookings are required to pay a bond of $200 and provide one set of credit card details.
Wedding bookings are required to pay a bond of $1500 and provide one set of credit card details.
Guests are expected to look after and take all reasonable care of the property and all the furnishings and equipment included in the property and to observe the "No Smoking Inside" requirement for the duration of the holiday. It is the responsibility of the guests to ensure that all doors and windows are securely locked and that the property is left in a clean and tidy state at the end of the holiday. Any faults, damages or breakages must be reported to the Owner as soon as possible.
Guests will be liable for any breakages or damages caused to the property during the guest’s holiday occupation and all costs of repair and replacement shall be payable upon demand to the owner. In the event that the property is not left clean and tidy the guest will be liable for the cost of excess cleaning which will be charged without notice to the credit card provided at a rate of $40 per hour.
CHECK IN & CHECK OUT TIMES
Unless arranged in advance with the Booking Agent, Check-In Time is 2 PM and Check-Out Time is 10.00 AM. During the low season and for mid-week bookings, these times can very often be flexible. All requests for varying check in/out times will be accommodated wherever possible.
LINEN & TOWELS
Unless otherwise stated the accommodation includes the supply of all linen. This includes pillows, continental quilts, bed sheets, bath towels & bath mats, and tea towels. The supply of bed linen and bath towels is always included in the price. Beach towels are not included.
TERMINATION OF BOOKING
The owner reserves the right to terminate the booking at any time. It is at the owners discretion whether a full refund will be applied.
DECLARATION & AGREEMENT
I hereby acknowledge that I am the guest named on the Booking Form and that I am over the age of 18 years of age, and I have read and understand the above booking conditions as evidenced by my signature and that all information provided herein is true and correct.
I further agree that the stated conditions will apply to this booking in accordance with the booking conditions and I agree to be held responsible for any and all charges due and payable on this booking and any damages that may occur or excess cleaning as required will be charged to my credit card upon demand.
I therefore agree to supply my credit card details and the payment requested and in doing so acknowledge I have read and accepted the above booking conditions.
